There are some images (Taken with iPhone) up on www.24hourmtb.com that show some of the singltrack trails that we are including in the final route.      Have a look.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I disagree with your comment on "plenty of space to overtake" and then there will be half the field walking the little up hill coming out of the forest' date=' causing congestion yet again.
I understand Rome was not built in a day, let's see how this one pans out.[/quote']

I believe their is a "chicken route" planned as an alternative for the walkers. Or should I say that I hope the rumor of said route is true smiley4.gif

You pissy as Marius would say!

This is going to be a great race. The 6 hour wasnt a problem at all and there was a lot of single track through trees, slower guys will move out the way.

I think you guys are over-reacting. The route is going to be great, there will be more than enough places to overtake and enough for the good riders to give a race and for those slower and not so steady riders it'll be rideable and enjoyable as well.

Just enter it...C'mon, it's going to be great!!

How would you compare a six hour's riders attitude compared to one doing 24 hours ?

I am asking and as I said elsewhere I am a mere apprentice in the wonderful world of ultra endurance MTB.

I would think that a six hour race would attract a faster and more experienced rider and with my limited experience in 24 hours I would have to assume that an event like this would attract all types, so I don't really see the slower guys being so amicable.

Limited experience with this and I would appreciate some more insight.

from what i've read on the 24hr googlegroup, the route isn't cast in sand yet, and a number of peeps are giving very good feedback over there, which dimitri is following with interest.

going there on friday morn to check it out. smiley4.gif

The 6h was a lot faster and the 24h does attract a lot more slower riders there to just have fun. Thats the main reason i am doing it as well!

I found the attitude pretty much the same, just a lot less people at the 6h.

I seem to find that guys do move out the way if they can as do i for the fast guys, but as everyone is saying, looks like the track will have plenty places to pass.
