There is a squeecking sound on my mtb when i pedal. Its not the seatpost since the sound remains when i stand and pedal. My chain is also well lubed. What else can it possibly be? My feeling is that it might be the following:

1. BB cups are finished

2. Dirty bottom bracket (which is unlikely since bike was serviced 2 months ago and no wet riding since then.

Any comments pls

BB is generaly a ticking sound.(but not imposible)

you must remember that sound carries, so what sounds like the BB

could be coming from the back wheel(bearings or disks binding).

Check your shock. Its prob one of the pivots or bearings.

Thats why its only when you pedal bob.If you have a susser that is...

Stand and hop on the bike to check it out

I have eggbeaters. But when i fetch my bike today i will ask them to take off the pedals and put some grease on the threads. Will see tomorrow afternoon if its sorted or not.
