Nothing is full proof' date=' coatings vents etc all have their drawbacks, would advise not to use products that are not designed for sunglasses as the school fees are steep!!

Many lens cleaners and other solutions are solvent based and will eat off the coatings on your lenses if not actually eating the lens itself! I've seen it happen!!!

Prevention is better than cure, buy sunglasses that don't sit to tightly against your forehead and keep the lenses clean, wash them with mild soap every so often! I've been   using Adidas Evil Eye's for a couple of years now and have never had an issue with fogging nor with the Supernovas that I own now, the bonus with these is that you can adjust the nosepiece and frame to allow more air to circulate behind the lens so no fogging.[/quote']

I've used both and would rate Supernovas over Evil Eyes.

Oakley sells the coating they use on lenses seperately. (Hydrophobic coating, or something like that.) Don't know how readily available - or how well it works when applied to other manufacturers lenses. You can maybe enquire at their offices.

It's on Radars by default and it's the lenses I've had with the least fogging ever. Drops of water also just runs off - for once something working as advertised (for me, at least!)

fogging is not my issue - drops of sweat are...any fixes for that smiley17.gif

Vat lip-ice, trek n streep van bo jou oog tot aan die onderkant (tot by jou wangbeen), sweet sal dan nie in jou oe kom nie!! Werk vir my!

What was that stuff you could buy for your car windscreen with the duck on it?

See-Thru

See-Tru and Rain-X makes the water bead up on your windscreen. Once the beads are big enough to catch wind from some speed on the car, the beads blow off like magic.

However, this doesn't translate to bicycles. We just don't go fast enough and the beads aren't big enough to have enough weight to overcome surface tension.

It really, really works well on cars though.

As for any chemical reaction with the polycarbonate lenses - none. It can safely be used on all lenses.

However, the OP wanted to know about anti-fog. Rain-X and its clones don't work for fog, only for throwing off water.

The stuff that Speedo used to sell is also no longer on the market 'cause it simply didn' work.
