I know we will keep on writing about this forever, but recently during the Seweweeks Poort Mtb event I was again shocked by the numbers of energy sachets discarded all along the route. I always though this was a roadie problem!!! Sies man!

There is one good way to start overcoming this problem.

I recently started using the WHASP GEL 600g bottle, rather than buying the sachets. It comes with a small dispenser screwtop bottle attached (DISCHEM). I have found it to be a MUCH better, more efficient system than the sachets.

You get about 3 normal 50g sachets into one small dispenser bottle.

nice and small it easily fits into your back cycle shirt pocket.

when needed, opening the lid with your teeth is easy, sip as much as you need (Can be premarked) close and carry on riding.

The dispenser stays with you ready for the next helping.

There is no little sachet tag that gets spat onto the floor when ripping the sachet open, and also no sachet that gets dropped after the contents are consumed.

Well done to Collin and Johan for introducing this, it works great, no mess or fuss.
