looking at road bikes...

"best" - meaning comfy bars, solid and strong stems, and decent seatposts. very good quality and price and light weight.

What bar's do you use? normal round bars - flat/wing bars etc - what brand ?

Stems. Carbon or not ? What brand ? Same brand as the bar ?

Seatpost - carbon / alu ? etc etc

Most bikes come out with their own seat posts or stems - like cervelo, merida, cannondale etc - do you stay with the factory setup or chance these for some reason - lighter- stiffer - more ergonomic bars ???

Thanx

Thomson (see spelling) does not make bars. Their stuff is not the lightest either but it is the hottest and proberbly the strongest.

I have the FSA K-wing bar which is seriously comfortable (and the stem has to match the bar! IMHO at least)... The FSA stuff is definitely not the lightest, but seems to be well built and looks awesome (once again, IMHO)...

Honestly, it probably isn't the 'best', but for my purposes, it provides a good balance of everything I needed (and every now and then there are some awesome deals on CRC so it's cheap!)

Easton and Thompson for me. Have tried FSA, Ritchey and some ITM parts, but have sold all of that and have now gone for what I believe to be the best and most comfortable parts for me.

My collection includes:

3x Thompson Elite Seatposts

2x Easton EC90 Seatposts

1x Easton EC70 Seatpost

2x Easton EA90 Stems

2x Easton EA70 Stems

1x Easton EA70 Road Bars

1x Easton EC90SLX3 Road Bars

1x Easton EC70 MTB bars

1x Easton XC-One MTB Wheelset

See the scammers are still here.

I've used a lot of Ritchey, Truvativ and Easton stuff with no complaints.

I have Ritchey on my road bike and Thomson with Easton on my MTB. Those are the 3 brands that stick out for me.
