Why do some peeps still use this Jan Van Riebeek things?

And to top it all off, they the ones who will complain bout "crap tires" that puncture easily.

I use it and proud of it. The only hassles I've had was when I went all poncy and bought fancy smanshy Joes tubes that's filled with milk rather then sealant. I patched it, put in proper sealant and now it is perfect. Before that, 2 years without knowing about any punctures. The age old statement "why fix when not broken".

The age old argument...tubes vs tubeless. Whatever floats your boat. Personally I will never use tubes again. I havent bought one in years and dont even carry a spare when I ride. To be honest I cant remember when last I punctured.

going tubless for more than 2 years now on both mtb and road bike

seems like those still in the tube era are the cheap skates

Tubeless is costing me much less than running tubes. I use the same tyres, a conversion that cost me R10 and the same sealant I used in tubes. So I save the money I would have spent on tubes.

We may be cheap skates, we may even be unemployed or just poor.

Perhaps we have more than enough money to do whatever we want to do but our spending pattern does not elevate to your lofty levels.

I bow to you and your spending. It is guys like you that keep our economy ticking over. Thanks.

Idiot.

Scotty' date=' please explain to a dumb roadie what the dickens is going on here?[/quote']

Yes please this dumb roadie also would like to know?

I thought perhaps it was a demonstration of that lovely Afrikaans expression "die k@k sit wit", but I would rather make certain.
