Tankman, have read some of your posts on Garmap forum. Eish.

I have just got an Oregon 300. A little bit bigger but wanted a full screen. Can also buy a separate HR strap but dont need it for HR as I use my Suunto for that.

Havent used it on my rides yet so cant say how good/bad it is.

Spinnekop, - not quite so...

In days gone by (before I got a 705) when I've had my 205, I used to pull my Garmin data across to SportTracks and "sync" it that way. So you can definately import .hrm files to SportTracks. Not sure what exactly you'll get, since I always used it in conjunction with data from the 205 -and nowadays 705 data.

Thanks for all the input and info guys

the 705 edge looks like it will do everything I need and even a bit more

I like the wireless cadence feature

I like the longer batt life

What would be the going rate if I want the HR and cadence bundle is R4400 about right?

I see some adverts say basemap only? is this a problem does that mean I have to buy maps ?
