Could someone please advise , I am busy setting mine up but for some reason just can't get the unit to pick up my speed from my front wheel , when I put the unit right next to my wheel it is working but as soon as I mount the unit to my handlebar nothing happens , please I've tried everything !!! And the distance is about 37 cm , withing the 46 specified in the manual , it's nearly against my brakes can't put it any higher ??

Im on the east rand , I even put the magnet so close that it hits the sensor each time but the monitor shows nothing , but the moment I remove it from the handlebar and lower it it is working so it's some alignment issue making that the monitor can't pick up the speed sensor ..

Is the unit new? Want to bring the bike past me and will have a looksee. I'm in Norwood, right next to Linksfeild. Also know the aents so if it is a manufacturing issue we can get it resolved for you

Okay, here is the next stupid question from me - how far down the front fork is the magnet/sender unit?

I moved mine up so that the magnet on the spoke is about 2.5 cm from the rim and 180 degrees opposite the valve.

It sounds like you may have (a) the units too far away from the receiver or (b) battery issues in the pickup/sender unit.

I have my delphi 5 magnet/sensor about 5cm from the bottom of the fork and it works perfect. I think you got a faulty unit. Change the battery first before running around trying to fix it.

Hey hubbers.

Im having a slight problem with my Delphi 5 & was

hoping someone could assist.

Bought the unit brand new sealed box, fitted it by following the

instructions to the tee - correct distance between sensor on fork &

main unit, correct distance between fork sensor & magnet, etc.

& everything worked fine after the first ride. Parked the bike

& next ride it never worked & hasn't worked since. When i hit

the start/stop centre button there's no response & there's also no

response when I start riding. Its set to auto start/stop. Removed the

main unit from the handlebars & held it near to the sensor on the

fork, pressed centre button & nothing happens. Spin the wheel &

still nothing. Also made sure that when the magnet moves past the

sensor, there is a slight click sound. The main unit just remains in

the mode where the time is displayed & never changes from this mode

while trying the aforementioned things.

Please let me know if there is anything i can try. Just a little

frustrating when a brand new unit stops working after working just fine

on the first day/ride.
