If it was the N2, is it not illegal for cyclists to travel on a National road? A horrible reminder that rules are there for a reason, irrespective of who is at fault.

firewolf Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 have you noticed how a shark attack will make international news? many times it will make front page local newspapers and get, at the very least, a mention on the evening news, if not a short report. Many people feel absolute anger and hatred towards the shark, and wish a thousand kinds of deaths upon it. Yet the death of a cyclist, i.e. a human being, by the hands of another human being behind the wheels of a motorised vehicle is most often met by the non cycling world with an attitude of "serves them right, bloody fools, always riding two abreat, etc" or, just plain indifferance. Humans are a strange bunch sometimes.

My deepest sympathy with your loss. Been down that same road within this past month knowing that no amount of rage and anger at the other party will ever replace the ones you have lost.
