Die enigste probleem om afrikaans hier te praat, is dat meeste van die mense hier dit as uiterse belaglike optrede sal stempel...net omdat hulle dit nie kan verstaan nie. Dis eintlik 'n jammerte.

i read in yesterday's daily mail that the education minister wants to introduce mandarin classes in every school in the uk.

Makes sense....if you see how many chinese there are in that country.

Solank dit by afrikaans of engels bly is ek OK daarmee. Verstaan f-ol van die ander goed nie...

 

Baie van die engelsmanne verstaan baie goed afrikaans, maar dis mos nie cool om die "boere taal" te praat nie.. ons weet almal waarvandaan dit kom...

Dit bly vir my interessant wanneer n afrikaans sprekende met n engels sprekende begin gesels sal die afrikaans sprekende oorslaan na engels al kan die engelse afrikaans praat??  hoekom?

ons is baie bevoorreg om met tenimste 2 taale groot te word. Hoeveel van die buitelanders wens hulle het meer as 1 taal geleer?

90% van al die mense wat deur ons skole stelsel is het 2 taale geleer, waarvan afrikaans of engels gewoonlik een van die 2 is.

ek dink mense onderskat hoeveel afrikaans sprekendes daar in die land is!
