steve, yes, this is a cycling site, but two wheels is two wheels AND 702 seems to have got it wrong. believe it or not htere are bikers out there who don't like it when cyclists get hurt or killed. heck, some of htem feel so strongly about this that they are including bicycles in their safety awareness campaign. yep, the THINK BIKE caravan is dual branded with a BICYCLE on it, and our bumper stickers are also dual branded.

(ps ewep, i found 1 lonesome remaining one for you... dunno when the next batch is gonna be printed)

This is the report as it (still) stands on the 702 website:

A cyclist has been killed in an accident in Alberton on Johannesburg?s East Rand.  The 37-year-old man was flung from his bike after being knocked over by a motorist.  He died on the scene.  Ekurhuleni Metro Police's Jimmy Maboko says a case of culpable homicide has been opened.

Either way, definitely a case of bad reporting.  If it was a cyclist, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough who it was.

the report i posted was filed by sapa. 702 mangled the report from there. their website is hardly ever reliable.

I once wrote to 702 telling them their standard of reporting was atrocious and this was the response ..........

Hi Steve,

could you please be more specific and let me know which bulletin you are referring to.

I need to look into it.

Regards

Sad' date=' but unfortunaely, most motorcyclists loose all judgment/brains when they climb on the bikes. And ya, the other day, I misjudged one's speed...but stopped in time in order to avoid him hitting me on the side. Must say, they are another problem on roads(AND NOT ALL OF THEM FOR THE MCs on thehub)[/quote']

Dont be an idiot Cervelo, that kind of comment makes you no better than the narrow minded average Joe out there, im also a Motorcycle rider,

Haga, we all know that cervelo is narrow minded... that's why i just ignored that comment, and most prolly why ewep and various others also just ignored it.
