Perhaps amid all the efforts to diss a supposed newbie, someone might have an answer for all those thousands of riders out there, like Onetime, who have never experienced this problem? But on this forum, opinions resoundingly resemble a$$holes - everyone seems to have one and lots of them are smelly. FYI JB, I'm not new here and in terms of who can learn what from whom, I'll willingly take my chances. And if any of the mouths here (including the foul ones like snitch) bothered to fit a Spec bottle into a Spec cage, they might see what was designed for what. I'll defy you to get that bottle to jump the cage. But if you're expecting all bottles to fit all cages then I'll rest my case and leave you experts to your devices. Perhaps, amid all the running up and down to government agencies, JB can go to someone and get legislation in place to standardize bottles. Till then I'll not be sympathetic to self-proclaimed experts mouthing off about bad design and pulling products because they think so. I'm still waiting for evidence of a Spec bottle jumping a Spec cage. Remember what Naas said - "Cowboys don't cry!"

Never had a mark on any of my frames.Trans Baviaans 2008 I had a Specialized bottle jump out of a Specialized bottle cage going down one of the climbs.

I use their cages and bottles.Hell I use their shoes,glasses, helmets,socks,bibs,shirts,frames,tyres,stems,handlebars,seats!!!!!!!!!!!! No problem with any of them.
Jules Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Just got back from shlaapstad, and while alternating between the Hub and my new Tread mag i have stumbled upon another bottle cage mystery... On page 88 there is a lekker picture of Burry pushing his bike up one of the murderous attakwas hills. In the background he is being chased by eventual winner Kevin Evans, who is still riding. Burry's two cages are empty! What did the man do with his bottles? This is even more perplexing than the damaged down tubes
