I don't think this is a good joke.  It would be bad if the staff staff at Groenkloof hear about such a development which would affect their jobs, and took it seriously.  Especially after the municipality has spent so much effort upgrading groenkloof, klapperkop, and reitvlei.

 

Other jokes include the double tax in July?  or is that true?!

As Groenfkloof is to become low cost housing/ squater camp, I am going to effect a landgrab there today and tommorrow.  Prospective new land owners can join me, today from 10:30 and tommorrow (with a noobie) from 7AM.   you are all welcome  to stake out plots in Groenkloof, but buying a farm or plowing up the singletrack will be discouraged as of yet.

I was at a meeting yesterday at SANParks' offices.

 

 

 

They highlighted a shortage of funds in the SANParks kitty.

 

Based on the value of available land in Pretoria they decided to relocate Groenkloof Nature Reserve's animals to parks surrounding Gauteng.

 

 

 

The land will be devided and sold to businessmen and developers.

 

 

 

More details to follow.
