racman Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 I have just bought a set of carbon wing bars and am going to build the new bike on Monday. The question is - Do you tape the whole bar (including the flat wing) or stop just past the ergo's/Sti's ? (I bought a used RavX Helix carbon bar if that helps)

racman Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 All of the above comments are true except ... I could not refuse the offer of the slightly used bars for R600 - (normal price abot R1600) and the stem for R200 (normal price is approx R600)!

I think their products are a bit underrated. But Hey - fro R800 I can live with it ! (now if only I can get a bargain price on a set of new and faster legs!!!) Besides - I also managed to get some ITM stickers from one of the TdF teams. (they also have Specialised sticker for sale !!!)

It's jus tthat some people will pay R2000 for a RAVX carbon bar when they can get a much better Easton/Ritchey/ITM alu bar for alot less. Now if you get a RavX seatpost your bike will look nice. I always like to pair up stuff.

Was considering getting carbon Easton & Ritchey but the prices .... The difference in what I paid for all three items enabled me to upgrade to a Polar Cs200 and get a new pair of cycling shoes!!!
