Johan Bornman Posted September 2, 2010 Share On a serious note, it looks like aluminium with any other metal is a recipe for disaster. I got a set of older Dura Ace brake calipers, and the brake cables have fused solidly in the barrel adjusters. There is just no way they will ever be coming out. Ja, alu sucks in many applications. But...lightweight is king in this game. Now go and take your tube of CS out of the bin. It is useful on BBs, bolts and for staining things gold. funrider243 Posted September 3, 2010 Share Thanks Johan. I understand what your saying about the water getting into the BB area and causing damage over a period of time. This frame was only 3months only and besides cleaning with a wet/damp rag, had never been subjected to water? Where would I be able to buy "copperslip"? Johan Bornman Posted September 6, 2010 Share Midas, Builder's Warehouse, Makro etc etc. The stuff is everywhere. Get a small tube, it'll last you a lifetime.
