Renewable energy. This is Solar Africa. The countdown has begun! On the 23rd of August I leave to South Africa to cycle 7,000 km from Cape Town to Nairobi. Along the way I will visit renewable energy projects in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. The goal of my journey is to raise awareness for renewable energy and raise funds (€50,000 euro) to provide 20 schools in Zambia with solar energy, supporting the education of more than 4,000 children. http://solarafrica2010.org/images/rout-map1.jpg He left a few days ago, perhaps some of you live along the route and would like to join him for part of the ride, or offer him some accomodation as he's funding the trip himself.
