RodTi Posted August 30, 2007 Share Went to my LBS - asked them about KCNC cranks...Blank/mental looks I got back made me write it down for them - still nothing. Just go to CWC. They have it. Yeah I know' date=' thanks Mampara... But I'm an old-school kind of guy...[to a point ] Built up a good relationship with my LBS over the last couple of years - got fantastic deals through them, and I've been allowed to pay for my upgrades over 3 months - which really suits my budget... So, out of this loyalty - I kinda want to stick with them.I know everyone is entitled to go where they want, but caught a couple of chirps (guess all in good spirits) when I had certain parts bought at other stores, on sale etc... They want me to go the XT route.Nothing wrong with XT etc - but I'm leaning more towards the KCNC... Which places me in a dilemma - get the KCNC at CWC, and should anything go wrong with them, by rights - I'd have to take them back to CWC [partly because they might have more expertise(?) wrt's to the product - and partly because I don't want to hear "we told you so" from my LBS] - and CWC is out of my way... Guess this actually forms part of a broader issue of LBS 'loyalty' vs bargains from other stores - and shouldn't really be brought up here ...
