how to EMBED video

How does one use the EMBED code often found on other sites. If i try copying the URI located within the embedded code, it just comes up as a straight hyperlink instead of a video window.

Hi Capricorn,

 

Youtube videos should be automatically recognised and displayed as a video.

 

You can use the Media BBCode to insert them as well. Either typing manually or via this button:

 

[media] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=some-random-code [/media] 

 

Let me know what site you're trying to embed from - I'll check if it's supported. If not we should be able to add support.

it's a flash vid from pinkbike, it's the 2nd vid on that page

okee dokee, so let me get this straight.

 

to embed a video we need to get you to tweak the list to recognize the site? there is no way to insert the code snippet [object] random video yadda yadda that i copied from the embed button [/object]

 

i've been trying to upload this one:

in the end i just found a copy of it on youtube, but hey surely the code can be used somehow?
