If you dont have the money to spend but you want a nice pair of shorts I have two pairs of Anatomic shorts that I bought from them in Paarden Island. They are great, nice padding and snug fit. Were R252.00 ea.

Anybody tried the Castelli bib shorts for sale at Chris Willemse? There are ones for R599 and R750.

Hi Bolla

I have a pair, not bad but not on par with Assos, the pad is too thin for long ride, unless if you have fat butt then it would be ok.

Open your eyes Michelin Man, I am not selling the shorts, that is how much I paid for them. This is a product review forum not a for sale forum,

Thanks freaky-yellow-smiling-head man - is the Paarden Island shop close to that Northgate Island shopping centre (the one with the Cycle Lab store in it)??

I buy bibs at Mr.Price sport for training, its cheap, eliable and comfy, been using mine for training rides and no problems yet...had it for about 6 months now, padding is quite nice and it was only R169 on special :P

Othrwise I use FA, I dont like it tho, shorts feel to big and the padding sucks after a 80km cycle...

Want to try some castelli ones now or anatomic :)

GIORDANA say no more !!!

My R1100 Giordana's have had the stitching come lose twice in 6 months, but my Anatomic R 260 bib shorts have been just as comfortable and no problems!

My most comfortable bib has to be Giordana - bought one from CWC for I think about R1100. My other specialized bib gave up the ghost after two years, i.e the chamois is finished - but I suppose that is to be expected considering all the riding I did in them.

I've had cheaper anatomic bibs, but they weren't as comfortable as the Giordana or the Specialized bibs.

Generally, for me price is a good indicator of comfort and quality.

Assos is the only way to go, for long and short rides. They might be pricey but well worth it.You get what you pay for, you wont get a sore butt with an Assos on.
