Is it only me or has Oakley quality really deteriorated in the past few years.

I have a pair of original Frogskins that are in perfect condition but yet the new glasses dont seem to last a few months.

Problems i have had in the last few weeks

Radar:

They are only 4 months old and i only cycle with them and the black on the lens coating is peeling off,the ear socks the rubber has gone soft and sticky and frame is peeling.

M Frames:

My one pair of frames has cracked on the bridge after 4 months of use the other pair is 8 months old and i run in them. The lens is peeling, the ear socks the rubber has gone soft and sticky and frame is peeling.

Mtb baggies:

They are also 8 months old but have done about 15-20 rides and are pulling loose on the stiching in a few places.

Jacket:

Only worn 4-5 times

Zipps have broken or got stuck and velcro is pulling appart.

Down + 3

Had a pair of Oakleys, Polarised etc. My first Oakley pair... After a few months, lenses started peeling... frame eventually snapped!

Back to tried and tested Raybans - and will never go back to Oakley!

I stopped using Oakley a few years back when my 'minutes" broke and the Oakley rep gave me FU look... so I gave him one back and now use Adidas as their prescription shades work well, and Oakley is just rediculously expensive...

They are are suffering quality wise...

I used to wear oakley eye wear tons. My old stuff is now 10 years plus and looks the same as my stuff thats 2 years old...

Crazy, I moaned at them, and sent them photo's and they replaced, the new stuff free of charge.

I've had eye jackets the frame snapped, oakley replaced them for free, had minutes lenses started peeling, oakley replaced them for free, had the monster doggs no prob, cross hairs only ear sock probs after 3 years, got the scalpal , no prob and got the whiskers, no prob also had the 20/20 no prob, I think there quality is actually improving

I stopped supporting them when they gave me crap with a warrantee claim. I bought mine in the 90's when the warrantees were lifetime. They then changed it and when I wanted to get a replacement frame they said the warrantee has expired. That is like Trek changing their mind about their lifetime warrantee 2 years after you bought one.
