A HUGE thank you to that Motorist of yesterday

Generally the majority of motorists in Centurion (on my training routes though) are quite nice. But I guess they have to be when they see yours truly giving such huge turning signals....

One other incident was also quite funny, a guy in a bakkie turned left without his indicators on, I then uttered a few less friendly words, and he wanted to stop and sort me out. Luckily the traffic was hectic, and I really didnt want to spray someone with my pepper spray unless they attempt to hijack my bike. Most times all we can do is to laugh at these guys

Ata boy RudoJ thats the way to just totally disarm the car and its driver of any malicious and evil after effects. Laugh it off. Ride away. Live to ride another day.

(I say that but I actually tried to break a taxi drivers window with my hand the other morning after he super-aggressively pulled over in front of me - pretty much the same way that killed the guy up-country. I tuned him WTF? He tried to push me over with his door. I hit the door closed back onto him, hoping to smash the glass. He made like to pull out a gun or a knife, so I buggered off.)

But then I laughed.. <_<

So I was on my daily ride when passing a small shopping centre in the neighbourhood. Watchful as always, I see this dude with a lekker moustache and souped up Yaris is not going to let me pass first before entering the road from the mall parking. Duly slowed down and we missed each other by a meter or so. All I said was "sjoe!" to which he responded "F-of jou po*pol"

I burst out into laughter, and actually want to thank him for making me grin the rest of the way home. Sometimes us cyclists need clowns like you!

Glad you took it on the chin with a smile, RudoJ.

Gladder that you are safe.

Staying positive is key with fools like that.

Don't let anyone spoil your ride, man. I say!

I guess the situation determined my reaction. Something more serious would have resulted in something totally different, like uttering disgusting words, showing not so friendly signals etc etc but it was really funny actually.

But I think Marrick's idea should be investigated further

Someone should come up with a new computer game called "Street Wars"

good idea, they can come to me for a thousand and one deadly scenarios that cyclists face on the roads

Zooped-up Yaris! Now i have heard it all.....

Spend 25k on dropping, tinting and tjooning a Yaris for 3 extra kw?

He probably lost 3kw with the added weight of his fibre cement fascia boards/side skirts
