Gpsot is in the middle, eden to the right and coetzenberg to the left, Park at either and make your way to the different trails, explore the trail options in eden forest, u will be pleasently surprised

by that he means, Eden is the the furthest south?/Somerset West direction side

You can do a loop of the new XC track, climb up and do Gspot, go across to Eden and back to XC track in around 2 hours if you want to do all three (my default ride).

 

There is a new single track that takes you from g-spot back to coetzenberg or you can go the old way across the top. And the farm road still there too of course.

 

It was all in good nick a couple of weeks back (I've been away though).

thanks good to know that somethings never change. Used to love going past the 'modified' cows at the proefplaas. Also remember a certain squeaky voiced famous middle distance runner being really anti MTB in the area after a few confrontations. Turned a full 180 since

Great to see Stellenbosch MTB is alive and well. I grew up in Stellenbosch and it was always the hub of mountain biking in 90's with World Cup events and races organised by the old Village Cycles.

thread revivial - couldn't find anything more relevant.

 

am going to be in the akkerdop on saturday for a reunion,  am lank keen to go riding earlier - as time might be a bibt tight, would love to check out the coetzenberg course they built. 

 

is it all open access?

is it maintained since the SA champs?

can you still link up to eden through the proefplaas?

 

Otherwise it's the terrible default of jonkers - poor me.

did you go in the end?

 

I went up today -kudos to the builders in Eden and the nice berm and jump additions in the past 3 weeks.
