Hi Hubbers

I just recently got myself a set of Dura Ace 7850 CL24 Clinchers.

They are absolutely awesome wheels, however the Dura Ace skewers are quite heavy.

The weight is 128grams and I was considering replacing them with the KCNC skewers.

They featherlite weighing only 44grams (claimed).

Anyone using these?

How secure are they and strength, durability etc?

Your honest input will be appreciated.

Regards

Yep, they are awesome . I replaced the standard skewers that came with my EA90SLX's with these. They were of similar weight to your DA's.

No problems with the KCNC's so far . I am just slightly more careful when I tighten them , tend to pay more attention and don't over tighten.

That is a pretty big weight contrast.

Are you sure that the 128 isnt for both dura's and the 44 is for one kcnc?

In my mind skewers are one of the last things on your bike to change to start dropping weight.

It just sounds too much of a difference though.....

I am holding my cellphone which I have weighed at 100grams and saving that amount just off skewers doesnt sound quite right......

Can somebody please post me pics of them on scales to verify the claims? (the old heavy ones along with the new light ones)
