hey guy been doing suikerbos nature ride for the past few weekend do you think the whole route is good training for 94.7 ???

The whole loop of 57km odd is great training for 94.7! You getting in about the same ascent as 94.7 so it is good. Love that place!

It is probably the best training you can do for 94.7 - anyone wanting to join we are leaving the Wimpy in Sunward Park tomorrow at 5:30 riding to the reserver - through the reserve and back - now that is good training for the 94.7

2:35 Loop will get you a sub 3 - that is if you are doing the 57km loop and your time is from cattle grid to cattle grid.

SBR rocks! Awesome training for the 94.7. If you can manage a lap of SBR comfortable the 94.7 will be a cinch.

My best is 2.35 and i've done a 3.08 94.7.

K if I have got the right picture in mind from where you are starting the clock you are more towards the 2:50 mark for a complete lap - still way good enough for a sub 3:45 94.7

I have learnt that as with many other cycling discussions, times around the SBR loop is not as clear cut as it seems.

There are times that I have heard and seen that makes no sense, but its NB to first establish what loop you talking about , then do the time thing from there.

 

If you did the full 57.5/6/7/8 k loop in 2:35, I can almost assure you - barring mechanicals or other mishaps that you will battle to go slower than 3:20 at 94

Some time start from the bottom of the climb after the cattle grid, my SBR time starts and ends in the car park, might be only a couple of meters but i'm still peddaling.
