I was at the official Amarok launch in PE yesterday and was taking it for a test drive along the Schoenies road when I came up behind 2 female cyclists on a bit of a climb. They were cycling behind each other when all of a sudden the one that was at the back decided to pull over into the middle of the road and presumably ride next to the other cyclist.

I ended up missing her by centimetres. What a dumb thing to do,this sort of thing is what gives us a bad name and will get a few killed.

If you are one of those woman cyclists (around 1030 AM yesterday),consider yourself admonished and WAKE UP !

By the way,the Amarok is great.

some people are just brain dead on the roads  you should have stopped and given them a piece of your mind. If you had have knocked them over, all fingers get pointed at YOU. Good looking vehicle the Amarok

Read the tests done on the Amarok in the latest 4X4 magazine. It got a terrible write up. It is a nice "townie" 4x4 but I wouldn't take it off road.

If VWSA hopes to dethrone the Toyota with the Amarok they need to rethink their strategy.

Reckon it should be made compulsory for cyclists, when buying a bike, to write and pass a test on cycling safety.

I think it will be quite difficult..... even for you..... to explain that to my grandson who is 16 months old.

And if you do it for grown up cyclists..... make sure they have their helmets on becuase a helmet on the head of even the most intelligent cyclist makes a moron of him.... or her.
