No more 24hr Wiesenhof?

Any news on why this event has been changed/canceled?

 

The new location is Oak Valley 24hr ride on 29/30th Jan.

 

This is and was an awesome venue/trail!

Great place for a 24-hour! I hope they use the full black route which will bring the lap distance more into line with what they use overseas I think.

If they use the black route I don't think there will be many happy cyclists. That is going to hurt.

I suspect it is going to be the flatter, easier stuff at the bottom, which will make for a great 24hr.

 

Won't be as technical as Wiesenhof, but should be something different. Sounds good.

2010 Wiesenhof was awesome!

I had been looking forward to the 2011 event throughout this year!

 

The Dam was a huge highlight as the spectators could swim/chill while the riders were on the trail! Not too sure where the `camp` site will be @ Oak Valley?

 

If it was like the Apple Blossom race this year, the parking was too far away from the action and therefore spectators would feel as if they are not part of the vibe/action?

 

They should definitely have more than one 24hr race in a year, maybe we can have 24hrs of Wiesenhof in March?
