TheYak Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 All I can say to this, is that I'm quite glad the ride was cancelled! After our little ride to Rwaonville, I was freezing and very wet. Had that gone on for 190Km, I think I would have seriously been an unhappy lad!!

TheYak Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I've just found another good reason for a short ride today, I went to move my bike and found my front wheel is flat. Riding in the rain is one thing, standing around fixing punctures would have not been a happy place.

But got to the start and all my team mates (about 10 of them) said that they're not going to be crazy enough to do it in these conditions, so i thought, okay...i was determined to ride, but grrrr...gonna be a long hard way without friends. And taking the risks, stops, weather etc. involved into account...Karen made the right decision - thumbs up to her! PPA can't control the weather guys - and seriously...how many people would actually have made it today had she decided to go through with it???????? Not many hey?
