Will fall in next year if I can...

Few years back I did a photoshoot at such an event... Guys I was glad I could hide behind my camera cause I cried like a child that day. Things we take for granted is such a great thing to these people. Even a can of Condensed Milk was a request as a gift.

It is good to see that there people are still caring for each other. Well done people.

CWC - thank you for doing something for the less fortunate! Think this is a great initiative and with future years and a lot more notice, i'm sure many more will get involved. I'd be happy to get friends to donate old toys and i'll send them down to you!

I unfortunately will have to sit this 1 out. Being a COW, i'd support but my bank account has been severely punished with charities already this year :(

Thought, with CPT being the home or the Argus, maybe do something that week/end when there will be 30000 vaalies there (blankets/clothes getting closer to winter)?

Well done CWC!

It was amazing to be a part of this awesome event this morning. A few of the usual suspects first went out for a nice 60 km ride on the mountain bikes before getting the energy levels up again with a rooi ambulansie (aka Coca Cola).

I dropped some treats and toys at the shop yesterday and was very impressed by the amount of goods donated, but this morning there were a lot more. People delivered food, veg, clothes, etc. and it is just again a testimony to the human spirit. I have been involved with a friend of mine who is very active in social development in the Ruyterwacht "squatter camp" - sorry, but that is exactly what it is, and one can not believe the circumstances the individuals (especially the kids) are forced to live in. I told Melanie this morning that sometimes all of us need a bit of a reality check to fully understand what is going on in some communities.

I trust and believe that all of us would on a regular basis be part in more / similar projects. We have so much to be thankful for.

Thanks again to CWC for their initiative and setting the example.

What a nice day it was so far. We will leave the shop at 15.30h to go and deliver the gifts and food. We will have a braai with the people while the kids enjoy there gifts.

Thanks to all of you who has contribute to this wonderful day. We received so many gifts , toys, clothes and food that we have decided not to give everything out today. We will go to more unprivileged people just before Christmas to hand the balance out.

Those of you who still wants to give something is more than welcome to bring it to our shop until Thursday 23rd December. Even a tin of food like bake beans, bully beef ect will be good.

Your 1 tin will feed one stomach for Christmas. Thanks again to all of you. Whats this space for some nice pics.
