Ok, I am pondering on whether buying (for the fraction of the cost (+-4%) of the new price)

a top end frame that has a small crack, but can be repaired. What would you do?

A repair to a carbon frame is quite technical especially if it is a top end bike. A lot of design has gone into choosing the correct fibre orientation and resin systems used (shock absorbtion, etc). It is not as simple as just throwing a few layers of carbon twill to the problem. Definately get an expert to check it out or it will just break again.

Thats my 2c worth
