wow, fashionably stupid? I didn't realise society had gone there. but then considering SA's favourite athletes are guys like goofball Gibbs and that guy who parked his million rand sports car in the neighbor's garden, not totally surprising. What next? Lobotomies offered as cosmetic procedures?

beckham comes to mind.

I am sure one of the highly intellectual Hubbers can write a Phd on the reactions of Hubbers on the so called effects of these bands. I think his thesis will be divided into these sub headings:-

.... Suurtiet Hubbers who bought a band and who do not wants to admit it

.... Suurtiet Hubbers who hoped it will make them faster and obviate the need for more carbon

.... Suurtiet Hubbers who thought they would have more "balance" and fall less, mostly those on Mtb's

.... Hubbers who bought them and they work

.... Hubbers who display the strange human phenomenon of jumping on the bandwagon just to be heard.

.... The morbid fascination of Hubbers that love to kick something when it is down.

It could be very interesting. More can be added.

I want to add another one....

.... Why do Hubbers blindly use Chinese Herb products found in race packs and believe it work, but on the other hand cannot stop talking about Powerbands.

Because as the most prolific race on earth numbering 1 billion plus, the Chinese are empirical proof that the herbs are working.

Powerbands are just little girly watches that cannot tell the time.

Yep. Kinda like RHINO HORN hey Luke?

Heres a good idea then. Buy a RHINO BRACELET today. Only 20 bucks, for a good cause!

Also made of Silicone, just not YELLOW, and with no shiny 'girly' thing inserted.

You are going to have to stay upright on your own though, in the knowledge that you helped save a Rhino and not some Aussie.

MADE IN SA too!

[PS - Big H is trying to stir again - someone please fall for it  ]

You guys are all missing the point of this. Powerbalance is not admitting that the Band does not work, they are admitting that their advertising does not fall in line with the customer protection act. In other words they have no scientific proof that it works, but that does not mean they say it does not work. Their coomments leave room for the fact it does.

I am not saying they do or don't work, but that is not what this is about. Powerbalance have yet to say that the bands do not work as clearly there are a lot of people that believe that the bands do work and those are the people who are wearing them.

I think the majority of the people complaining here have never used the band.

In any case, the band is still to be disproved and if you follow any kind of scientific method, then you will need to disprove that it has no effect as with so many people saying that it does work and makes a difference from their personal experience, it will need to be disproved and that will be difficult as it could just be that we do not understand why it does work.

It is like the proof that showed that a bumble-bee cannot fly. The truth is that no matter what the formulas say, the bumble-bee does fly. So, the guys need to rethink why their formulas are incorrect. Maybe we just don't understand why a small magnet emmiting a timing magnetic field could make changes in our body.

Like why sticking needles in or body (acunture) helps us.

Oh one more thing: As from their website:

To be eligible for a refund, together with return postage, you will need to return a genuine Power Balance product along with proof of purchase (including credit card records, store barcodes and receipts) from an authorised reseller in Australia

They wont even have to refund 10%of the tjops that have these...Simply because NO ONE would have kept all the required records...

Damn these PB okes were/are smart!

I think they mean either or. They accept that most people would not have kept the invoice but a lot of people could prove purchase on their credit card.

I'll sell you a special MILITARY tinfoil sticker on a post-office elastic band - but the kicker is the sticker will have been placed in the exact opposite direction of the one of the most powerful radiation emitters that is legal. I will duct-tape it to the opposite end and personally photograph it daily for as many days as you want it (costs a bit more per day). Cell phone radiation is nothing compared to this. Neither are bad thoughts about your ex.

If you require anti-cellphone properties, I will program the unique anti-thing-wot-forkwits-pay-for with either Vodacom, MTN, or <erm - I forget, but send me the name and I'll make a price. If its hard to spell it might cost more.> with a glimpse of a nice mountain track.

Depending on how many months you want it to be "reverse activated" for, it unfortunately costs more, but it will have moluleculary stored anti-radiation properties, and depending on how much you pay it have incredible benefits for your mental well-being.

And you might need to eat spinach.

And exercise. And maybe stop drinking so much beer.

Not so sure I want one of those if that is what make you looney. :D

Look on youtube, there are tests proving it doesn't work

Why would Powerbalance give in so easily in Australia if it does work, the USA may follow suite now and then they are in groot k@k

Take a Powerbalance band to an electronics repairer. Ask him to show you on an ocillascope the 7.85hz frequency that comes out of the band, the guy will laugh at you
