Can anybody reccomend a low carb, low fat protein shake that is reasonably priced? I need 4 scoops (100g protein) a day and I don't want to break the bank

Plain low fat yoghurt perhaps?

Cool, I have that in my fridge. Will also try it. Is way different to the Tabasco suggestion

I won't try both mixed

I will give it a try with low fat mayo and see how much mayo is actually required and what calories, fat etc the amount contains. Just the fact that mayo cotains about 50% fat and light mayo contains 25% fat is scarey enough

I am negative 2000 for the day. Not even hungry, I just forced a tin of tuna down to get some protein, I won't do that again in a hurry, it was gross.

Is there anything you can add to tuna to make it taste decent? Apart from salad dressing for obvious reasons

Did this a while back, do it once off and then makes for easy lunch.

Make healthy salsa (chopped tomatoe, onion, greenpepper, seasoning with a bit of lemon juice) and freeze small portions

Then in the morning grab a portion + tuna + low fat yogurt and mix it all up for lunch.

Yummy, quick and very nutitious!

Where does Calories come from and how does it work?

Most of the foods I buy have Kj Kilojoules on the pack.

Memo to Self: Sanity Check before Reality Check

1. Make better choices and small changes every day. Nothing drastic.

2. Don't stress the short term gains or rejoice the short term losses. Baby steps are needed to ensure sustainability.

3. Only weigh in on Monday mornings.

4. Be patient. It took a long time to get here - it's going to take a long time to go back.

Divide KJ by 4.18

Ok so a food that has 1480 Kj relates back to 1480/4.18 = 354 Cal per 100g?

that is correct, 1480Kj = 353.49 kilocalorie but most books use Cal as kilocalorie (note the capital C)
