Merida is sexy... but a helluva lot of them on the trails! You don't see that many Silverback Mercuries, and that might be a defining factor if I were looking at them, and the spec sheet were very similar...

 

on an impulse buy though, I'd go for the Merida. 120, that is...

 

You would rather have the 120-1500 than the 96-3000?

I'm not sure what the price is on either of those, but a Ghost RT 7400 Lector (Carbon) is similar is spec (except for the fact that it's carbon) and goes for about 24k.

There's an alu model too (the RT 7400 Actinium) which should be around 19k.

 

Just throwing an option C... a spanner in the works so to speak, hahaha!

I've seen them in Linden Cycles.

No debate in terms of a race machine, after riding 4 F/Sus bikes over recent years and many km on my 96 carbon - MERIDA WINS
