"Cycling Does More To Fight Doping Than Any Other Sports..."

Don't have all the facts at hand.

And I resonate with Lance's comments: ;)

Lance Armstrong (RadioShack) has claimed that cycling is doing more to combat doping than any other sport. The American was speaking at a press conference on Thursday ahead of his participation in the Santos Tour Down Under.

Armstrong admitted that the steady trickle of positive tests in cycling was a concern but he was insistent that they were a sign that the sport was tackling its problems.

Aside from my own thoughts on the investigation into the doping allegations against Lance, I too agree to a large extent.

Think if some of the other sporting codes were tested as rigorously we would see a lot more headlines. In fact baseball had one of it's hugest doping scandals fairly recently.

More telling I bet, would be stricter more thorough doping tests in schools sports, possibly varsity sport as well.

Lance 'donates' large sums of his own cash to the UCI to 'combat doping'. He should know better than anyone how hard cycling is working to clean things up.

Go Lance!

...sorry I did try and think of a meaningful contribution here, but in the end there was only sarcasm.

One would expect doper Lance not to rock the boat with all the solid evidence the USA Feds have on him that's been mentioned lately....then again maybe its not so solid.

Its been conspired his cheque book has been used on UCI and the Dope squad, perhaps its been extended now to the USA Feds

So behind the hologram on a powerband is a wee scroll with Lance's writings on it? No wonder they don't work...
