Prowler Posted August 23, 2013 Share Just started commuting from Tableview to Maitland on my fixie. I am loving every moment of it and arrive at work completely amped for the day. I am also saving myself about R2K a month, as well as, reducing my carbon footprint so it's all good. I was in Europe recently and was once again blown away by how many people commute. Cape Town has really great commuting infrastructure so now it's just up to us to change our mindsets.....

Today: 2.7km :-/aaarggg, thats very far...spelling commute takes longer... lolanyway, changed my route, to something a bit "flatter"... usually rolling hills from Parktown to Krugersdrorp via Empire, past RAU? , through Westdene, Newlands, and on Ontdekkers. , changed route to go past Emmerentia, past WestPark Cemetry... ended up climing 400m compared to the usual 260... ouch.
