Here you go. It's official: Darryl

Come on, did they really have to introduce him with the header: "Armstrong's ex team mate"?!

(PS Nice to see his fighting spirit and desire to proove himself in Europe!)

Can't see why he would want to come back, why not ride for a pro continental team and stay sort of in the loop in Europe. I think financially it may be good for him now but for his career for surely not

David George was also once LA's team mate. You don't see any woo-ha about that.

MTN has big plans for the future and from what I've heard, they have the support of the UCI who wants to see an African Team in top flight cycling. There is some long term goal in place to have MTN at the Tour de France.

It might seem like a step back for him, but long term it could be the best thing. I suspect that MTN's future plans could have also played a role in Aaron Brown's move to them.

I think all the slots have been filled and contracts have been signed - the pro c teams simply don't have an open spot this late. He probably tried very hard.

He was part of the Pegasus setup for this year. When that crumbled late in Dec, it didn't leave much time to find another team. All the big teams are full. I'm sure if the opportunity was there he would ride for a European based team. But rather race than not race.

Even the 2 Robbies just managed to secure a spot as extras at the last minute with Radioshack.

What probably went against him was he didn't have a great year last year with a big crash and time off to recover.

Sounds like good news to me, Eugene...

I hope Medscheme also raise their ambitions.
