Ja, I don't have much long distance mileage in my legs. Decent regularity but entirely 2:30 hour rides or less, so will have to see on the day how the legs manage the route from Chappies home. Also when I'm doing hill repeats 2 days after other intervals my legs are toast before the road starts to go up.

My strategy for the day is to not worry about the time too much. More to lose than gain that way. Hoping to have a strong, enjoyable ride finishing with the front side of the bunches and get a better seeding for next year. I doubt from J we'll come realistically close enough to a sub 3 to worry about where and when to push the ante on stretches whilst we're out there. Yes a 3:10 or thereabouts could be on the cards in ideal weather conditions. That 10 minutes will only go if there are enough strong riders in the group to keep the average speed close enough to get to a sub3. Highly doubt we'll have enough of that in the group. When it's a small group of people doing most of the work, they'll usually go for doing the group drop on Smits anyway. By then the train pullers will have worked out who they are.

Looks like it's just you and I trying to make the most of this? We'll have to come up with some more nicknames for the 'quiet' hubbers in this group....

Ooi M_R put up your race number! (Not that there will be too many Fondriest's in the group!)

I've been a bit scarce lately :( difficult to spot a number in 500 people at the start. Just look for the chop with the Camelbak and a black shirt - that will be me! I'll be in front on the flats and sikkling on the uphills! :)

Hi

Vallie is in the group, his hubname is Bianchi Boys, new to the hub I think.

You cant miss Vallie though look for the small power house in Bianchi Gap and Celeste Bianchi.

Dont worry about it dont think we looking out for one another anymore.

If you going with your current strategy of shooting off the front of the pack to go catch the group ahead then we will keep an eye out for you ;)

I am also in "J". Whooohooo!!

I am looking at a sub 03h20. The 03h00 dream went missing with the new route...............

I just wish my group will start slowly as I like to build up momentum... Or I will just hang back and then join group "K" as they fly past!!

This is my 9th Argus. Hope the wind holds up for a change!!

Why dont we hubbers all wear somthing on our handlebars like a blue hair ribbon or something so that we can greet each other??
