So true, I have seen Burry on this in jonkers the past weekend. He was so fast on it you wont believe it, but then he will be fast on a BMX aswell!!

If it looks as hot as this I will ride it stukkend, doesn't matter if it's 26" or 29"... (doesn't sound right  )

Nice looking 29er!

My analytical mind has a lot of issues to deal with, it's not easy. But I am planning to meet them half-way. I am first going to try just a 29er front wheel in a rigid fork.

And you worry about head angles and BB height ?

Seen as though we frequented most of the same party spots, you are welcome to take my 29er for a ride when you are looking for a new bike, you must ride one first, that's what made my mind up for me!

P.S Nice looking bike Malachi.

I have already thought about that. I will just pump the rear (that does not sound quite kosher does it) and deflate the front.

Did you copy one of my tread replies from last year? Sounds just like me a year ago. I can promise you one thing...29er is not going to go away.

Nope didnt copy your thread just speaking my mind, not saying they going to go away alls im saying is im gonna adopt a wait and see attitude before i hand in my trusty Trance x .

Stop being such a big baby wink.gif

I find the thread interesting & informative as I'm thinking of doing the same move at the end of the year and value the casual rider's opinion more than the sponsored rider who gets paid to endorse products.

I find it most fascinating too, and at least there are many threads with the same question/content now. It's what makes an average forum awesome.

Not surprising that it's so debatable, at the end of the day it's who has got the biggest rim is the coolest, bestest.

No one is saying hand in your Trance X. Why not keep it and ride it on terrain more suited to it and the 29er when you feel that will be suitable? I love my 5 inch travel 26er, but also enjoy my 29er HT on certain terrain too. I certainly would not buy a 26 inch HT again.

90% of the riding i do in the cape is rocky, technical stuff like jonkershoek, tokai etc So i havent felt the need for a niner yet but some of the races i enter i suppose a 29inch hardatil would be nice if it makes me go faster, or makes downhills easier etc, whats the verdict on a ful susser 29inch??
