I buy from CRC because I get far better pricing and good service

Some folk like to be kissed on their neck before they get ......

Common practice in SA is to rip people off and I for one will buy goods where I can get the best price no matter where it is from.

 

If LBS in SA were hurting so much they would drop their sales price in order to compete with the global market and make margin on volume rather than 2 or 3 loyal people who dont really care too much where they spend their bucks.

I for one am one of those guys that will spend their money where I get value for it, why must I support a shop where say the cost is double as opposed to buying online you could get it at half. I dont care if he is South African, he must adjust his prices accordingly and not just me but many other guys would support him.

 

This does become a very open ended debate.

Bad example on using Bibshorts as CRC will most likely be more expensive than local, but we get the drift. Many Hubbers go Noah and buy two of a kind from CRC and still save themselves 50%.

I do see that on some products it is cheaper or the same price to buy locally so just shop wisely.

So far my experience with CRC back up is as follows

 

Once a caliper bracket was packaged wrong by Shimano. a correct one was dispatched free of charge the following day

 

The rim tape was stolen out of my parcel CRC credited my bank account with the cost of the tape 3 days after I notified them

 

In my most recent order a spacer is missing from the Sidi dragon toe caps a new set of caps are on there way to me also free of charge.

 

Bottom line I have ordered alot of stuff there have only been 3 issue's and they have been sorted out instantly my experience of their backup is excellent
