My apologies for stirring, their prices are however much better than local. Could not get egg beaters at any of my local shops for less than R 700 crc start as low as r300.

I tell you what @leekie: YOU get the bike shops to come around, drop their prices to what CRC offer, stock their shops with the same stuff and we will ALL support our LBS. How's that?

hi people who order from crc clearly dont want to support local industry and shops , funny thing is ur bakup from crc is non existant and not even worth the effort maybe we should all try support local shops so that they will aventually be able to get stock and bikes at lower cost ,

Cool, let me know where I can get this at a better price, and Ill go there and buy it with a smile on my face

Hi Big Boy

Which eggbeaters are you considering?

Cranck Brothers Egg Beaters C 2010 for R 389.16, excluding shipping. Once again if I can find any similar egg beaters locally i am happy to buy them here.

i'll tread out on the water.....here.. the guys getting ripped off here are the retailers as well as end consumer. i was in the bike trade and have let that go.... cost prices in RSA on bike goodies are ridicolous. the prices you guys see on CRC are MOST of the time less than the cost price retailers(bike shops ) have to pay to land it in their store from local suppliers. Prime Example the sigma heart rate monitors cwc sell are cheaper than what retailers are paying for them cost. obviously cwc are sourcing them direct. and he is selling direct to public thus no middle man there. bike shops then have to pay the transport (which in south africa is not cheap) frequently on small orders which add to prices , they have to add a mark up to make a margin and pay rent and salaries if they have staff. it is NOT easy to be a bike shop in RSA. SOOOOOOO ... i say... support local bike shops where you can especially with things like frames and bikes. BUT buy from whoever has the best price to your hearts content... this is the digital global age... why NOT?
