where to put my effort, wingerd or bay city?

Does anyone know the weighting on the wingerd funride? The 'long' route is 60km, does it recieve the usual 34% towards your seeding or will it be lower cause of the distance despite it being described as a long route.

Want to know where to put my effort in to improve my seeding.

The wingerd basicly is my daily training rout, so I can get a very good time.

The bay city has a few good climbs, and I fly up those. Can do good there also...

Bru, you live in Strand, support the local race!

Not much effort required, it is over before you have warmed up properly PLUS you will be rewarded with a lekka breakfast burger for your effort!

Then you will be ready for Bay City!

Neither one of the two - a naked bike ride is soon coming to town, ignore these lycra clad races and join the real mcoy!

 so he has to miss both to do a 5km stroll around the city a week later?? Bunch of pansy perverts, come do a proper race!

See you at both!

Effort for the Bay City, that's where you will "score" non existant PPA brownie points. The Wingerd is too easy of an race.

Agree with HeadHunter - target the more challenging race.

And do not fatigue your superpowers too much during the Wingerd.

lekka breakfast burger

Not to highjack, but did anybody else notice - it looks like the Medallion TDS caterers are still selling fried mushrooms on a roll instead of actual mushroom burgers? How can this be allowed to continue - year after year! There must be a law against selling fried mushroom rolls to people who just cycled 100kms.

The beer was very welcome though. Those guys must definitely come back in 2012.

I did notice it, in fact, tried it.... It was most certainly NOT that enjoyable (to say the least), but I was shattered and anything that resembled food at that moment in time, was very quickly devoured dry.gif

 They caught me only once with that one! I actually went back to the lady and told her they forgot to put the putty on my burger, she just smiled, "no no it is a mushroom burger sunny boy, now go eat your food"

False advertising, that is a mushroom roll - nothing close to a burger!

In the past I've done both (they have been on the same weekend once before)...cycled from home to the start of the Wingerd ( a little over 20k's), then do the ride and then cycle home (little over a 100 k's for the morning). Then, full of bravado I was off to do the Bay City the next day...went Ok until I hit Ou Kaaps...

So this year I will cycle to the Wingerd, act as start marshal and then ride home. Hopefully I will then survive the Bay City the next day.

These people must be stopped! What next? Toilet water instead of a free coke? You don't see tile burgers at the West Coast Express. No excuse for this inhumanity.
