  1. My advice buy the fork for now the reba is a much than a tora the technology is 100 times bettter Besides its a better upgrade than a cassette and chain that still works fine for now and you can still sell the old fork here on the hub and buy the cassette ectMecnic2009-11-17 11:55:05
  2. Usally egg beaters are supplied with two sets of bolts long and short, so in total 8 bolts should be in the box but I must admit short bolts are serioulsly annoying and can be a major headache, my personal experirnce is that Shimano road cleat bolts are super short causing some issues anyway good luck

    Frame Repair

I have exactly the same frame How deep was the seatpost in the frame? As a post that wasn't inserted deep enough it could cause that kind of damage and void a warranty claim completely Personally I would say that frame is a write-off, as it is in the aluminium itself not in the weld usally cracks in welds can be repaired but not that Mecnic2009-10-29 14:07:32
  5. Sounds like the Alluminium may have rusted, yes aluminium does oxides and in effect the turning force has almost cold welded it to the frame, I would try soaking the entire bb in a bucket of oil/ applying penetrating oil to see if it loosens up a little. If that doesn't work carefully try to file opposing slits in the cups on the inside and crush the bb inwards be super careful not to cut into the frame if you do hurt the threads I'm shure a LBS can attempt to fix the threads with a bb threading tool Good luck
  6. I weigh about 60kgs and ride a 400lbs spring I personally think that a 350lbs may be a bit light for you as you stated weighing in at 75kgs the 350lbs means it takes 350lbs of force to compress the spring one inch taking the leverage ratio in to consideration that isn't such a high number and therefore you may need a stiffer spring. Compression may help but if the spring itself is to light you may run the risk of blowing the shox itself after repeated bottoming out as all compresson does is reduce the diameters of the valves which dampening oil flows through Increasing the air pressure only increases the amount of force needed to begin the initial shox movement and will not help with the bottoming problem Hope you come right
  7. Unfortunately there is no cheap way unless you find a cheap group set on the hub the reason being 10 speed chains are narrower than 9spd and therefore everything else is also different to 9sp parts
