Arete, nice to meet you yesterday and had a great ride even though I landed us in it! Good ride with no crashes, punctures or ripped tyres.......see what a group of 29ers can do! Would be nice to see the route if you can post it on here.

I would suggest a confirmation list at the top of the post and that we stipulate that the 4.15 ride leaves at 4.30 and the 5.30 ride leaves at 5.45 or even 5.45 for 6 as it was still light by the time we were doing our second lap of Alberts. I'm sure Maxxis can work out how to do a list we can access in the post.

Ok, ok, I'll take it on the chin since I suppose I was the most regular of the group, with 1.5 rides under my belt! As Arête says, we waited from 5.15 to 5.40 and then headed up the usual route with 1.5 laps of Emmerentia and 1.5 laps of Alberts and back to Frats for beer and pizza. Missed the text message from Mags, sorry again, I know what it's like! Great ride with Ross joining us until we left Emmerentia and then Arête(new), Shane(new) and myself pushing on throu the night round Alberts and back. Hopefully all the broken bikes and people will be up and running by next week again.

just a thought, can we do a first page list where you can add your name if you are riding that day and at which time you will join 4.15 or 5.30? Maybe a 4.30 list and a 5.30 list?

I'll be there at 4.15 and my Kiwi mate will join at 5.30......both on 29er!!!!!

Have new big wheel/tyre, tubeless this time, and have been practicing my bunny hops, so hopefully no more blow outs!! Anyway, last ride was 2x26er flats to 1x29er, if I'm not wrong???

So was it three punctures a head on collision and a hail storm, not bad for an easy Wed evening ride.

Sorry about the probs with my puncture guys, not a good scout...'always be prepared'!! Managed to get home and fit a new tyre and ride backup to the Beyers junction by 6.30, just in time for the rain! Waited a bit but must have just missed you so headed back up through Emmerentia, in case you guys were waiting it out under a tree, and then on home. Big thanks to Greg(Goose) who waited with me at the canoe club. Looks like you had more fun and games, rain, punchas, etc. Was PO I missed the night section to try out my new light.

4.15 at Fratellis is good for me then we can maybe meet the Paulshoff guys at M&B or 12th Ave by 5.30. We can either go up the power lines to Republic or over the river crossing by William Nichol to P&Pay, then along the Spruit to Riverside shops and on to 12th Ave and wait there or head up the road and over the N1 to Paulshoff M&B?

I know that section pretty well, ride it about once a week, but am happy to go with the flow.

Agreed, if we leave after 4.15 we will need to push it to catch the guys at Paulshoff by 5.30!

I hope not...........but for R650 you never know!!! If its a good one I'll be buying too........two!!
