  1. No worries guys did my own ride, will see you for the early group as I don't have a light.
  2. Boo hoo......stood up on my first date! Was at Fratelli''s 17.15-45, no one pitched. ???? Better luck tomorrow.
  3. Is there a group going from Fratelli's at 5-5.30ish today, if I can tag along? Will be in Delta until then.
  4. Mike, I can always get you one for the Spruit, if you honour us with your presence.
  5. What sort of time do you guys ride? Start/finish time, from Fratelli's? Is a light essential?
  6. Simon, will you let me know if you are riding and I will join up, cheers BBN.
  7. Before you do anything, make sure you have all the bearings and bushes checked and/or changed, especially with a carbon frame! If a pivot jams your frame is toast.
  8. Anyone riding the Spruit during the week from Conrad/Delta Park area from about 4.30 pm onward, keen to join up..........on a trail bike! Cheers, Norm
  9. PYGA...........done! Well here she is and ready to roll. Basic build is; - 2012 XT 2x10, 39/26 and Sram XX 11-36 cassette with XT Race pedals - Avid Elixir CR with Shimano XT 160/180 rotors - 2013 Fox 32 Talas CTD 120mm, 3 position remote - ZTR Arch EX on Chris King hubs, Ritchey WCS Shield tyres - Chris King headset - Thomson X4 stem and setback seatpost - FSA K-Force light XC riser bar - Selle Italia Flite XC gel flow saddle The Merida slap guard and bottle cage will go asap!
  10. Agree with The V on the welding, the weld of the additional support at the seat/top tube junction is poor and might be fine for painting but not on this bare frame. The fact that it is half ground and half not does not help, would have left the weld visible like elsewhere. Decals.......mmmm, think they went RAW finish on them too. Must say, once you start kitting the frame out you do not notice and it is a very nice looking bike. Can't wait to ride mine. Suppose it always a learning curve with a new product and such a small company.
  11. Lots of info guys, thanks. The tyres are Ritchey WCS tubeless ready and should go up to 4.5bar easily. I normally ride my 26" RaceKing UST at about 3.8bar! I have seen plenty of these tyres on the same rims. Will take them to my LBS on Mon for a check. Cheers, Norm
  12. Thanks. Is there any trick to seat a tyre before you pump?
  13. I know, getting the headset fitted then we build!
  14. Tyres say 4.5bar! Is there a problem with compatibility between the tyre bead and the rim?
  15. Have ZTR Arch rims with Stan's tape and Ritchey WCS Shield tyres 29 and they keep popping off the rims when I get to about 3 bar, it's bloody scary! Anyone have any advice??
  16. My Pyga build, so far, arrived this morning due to the snow! Wheels are ZTR Arch Ex on Cris King red hubs with Ritchey WCS Shield 2.1 tyres. Rest of the build is still in boxes!
  17. Anyone know when we will get our JHB orders then?
  18. Check the pad contact adjuster on the brake lever is all the way out. Use a bleed spacer, the red one, before you fit the caliper to make sure the pads are all the way out before fitting. Might help.
  19. Had the same problem, turned out to be a broken pawl grinding inside the hub! Check it! I wasted a shed load on new bearings etc before I found out. Also be careful putting grease in the hub or freewheel without talking to Mavic, can damage the wheel!
  20. Looks great but why on earth is a locally produced bike so expensive! Was always surprised that the Morewood bikes costs the same here as abroad. How about a local price for the local market??
  21. Saw a lady riding one at Mountain Splendour in the Drakensburg at Easter, looked awesome, chunky carbon frame! Did not know they were available yet?
  22. Anyone gone old school and tried a Brooks saddle on a mountain bike?

    Endura MT500..............the best!!!!!!
  24. I will take it to my LBS and they will send it to DT Swiss if needed but they have quite a good shock guy at Dunkeld Cycles.
  25. Have a DT Swiss M210 rear shock and it seems to be 'knocking' when it straightens out, not in compression. Any advice before I send it in for service?
