  1. Go to a motorbike shop like MossKay, they have rolls of clear tape for petrol tanks etc, about R20/m
  2. I think the XL kit has a lot more pieces.
  3. I think it is per rim, I may be wrong, but that is similar to the cost of ENVE M60Forty 29" carbon wide/deep rims @ $999 per rim!
  4. Will be +/-9k for the rims only, I think!
  5. STOLEN! Please keep your eyes open guys. Cheers, Norman
  6. Totally agree but must say they did quite a nice job.
  7. Lots of fun, but this is the last one!
  8. So, finally finished my On-One black 'stealth' Lurcher carbon SS rigid.
  9. So, finally finished my On-One black 'stealth' Lurcher carbon SS rigid.
  10. Look at the new Shimano Deore M615 10speed double, beautiful crank and cheap. With any 2x10 you have the short chainring bolts so easy to slap a 32T SS ring on it and sell the other two new rings. You also get the crank on the outside of the chainring which looks better IMHO. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/shimano-deore-m615-10-speed-double-chainset/rp-prod108774
  11. I believe the new top range bikes like S-works are going to be over 100K!!!!
  12. Now I see it, nice and neat but what about stability in the frame?
  13. Check the center lock ring is tight first.
  14. So how do you get the belt on?
  15. Get your uric acid tested for gout if your toes are hurting! Headache is def the caffeine withdrawal/hangover!
  16. So now, being more informed, I can happily say, mate, that I would go for the 3K Weave with the Matt finish..........in the long sections only, of course.
  17. Good info, thanks. Now, what about the Matte/Matt/mat/mate question? I bought a carbon fork from Flyxii and I now see it comes in Matt or Gloss and in 3K Weave, UD or Matte. Did not even realize when I ordered, lucky I god the 3K, looks awesome!
  18. So, what exactly is Matte? I thought it referred to the unpolished, dull or 'Matt' finish, with the UD or 3K weave........confused!
  19. Pretty good, thought it might not be as stiff and might get a bit of vibration under braking but all is good and it has a bit of give in it , so not too hard on the wrists.
  20. Mine will always be the Brooks, will probably sell the others.
  21. Done my number two's.........so to speak! Second Lurcher SS Rigid....DONE! This time with fongkong carbon fork.
  22. Must be chain line! http://www.singlespeedafrica.co.za/2013/06/07/perfect-your-chainline/
  23. Beautiful bike but the cow horns must go!!!
  24. Short chainring bolts are readily available from your LBS or if you buy a 2x10 crank they use them and you have no need to swap. As for the chain, I just measure the chain so it is tight...ish on your bike, so you do not need to tension too much. Make sure you can loosen the chain enough to get the wheel out of the horizontal dropout! MTC Question, I thought Niners had an off centre BB so you don't need a chaintug?
