There is a farm a few hundred yards just after the right-hand turn onto the dirt road to Breedts. It is on the left & called Berlouri. Louis (the owner) says it will be open 365 days & the shop with food & coldrinks will be open from tomorrow (only on weekends). It's safe & secure with ablutions (incl. a shower). There is a charge per vehicle.
  2. Thx squire
  3. G-Unit, If I may ask, which distributor are you using?
  4. Well done to you the organiser! I'm sorry I wasn't there
  5. Maybe you need to link it to another thread on the hub
  6. Fresh salmon, avo & capers in a warm (small) pita!
  7. Not sure if this address was posted earlier: http://www.aeropress.co.za/order.html Mine is being couried up from CT today!
  8. Great post by GBguy! I wasn't even looking for coffee-related input but you've got me hooked and I will shortly be ordering an aeropress.

  10. I thought it may go this way. Thx 4 the comments
  11. Both on special at CWC, Fox at R5k & Manitou for R3k. I do general XC/stage-style races and was wondering what the hubbers thoughts are on the two options, good or bad. Thx

    DNF at Epic

Very, very sorry to hear that.
  13. Garth, I see that u r eager. Would also just like to PM u. Whew, I have always had the impression that this event is designed to be as technical/difficult as possible in order to ramp it up the international list for the larnies. In the past they used to go up a mountian and rejoin the route in the same place merely to include some technical route. As I prefer stage races, I want to get from A to B. Don't take me on unnecessary detours merely to improve the difficulty of the course. Hence y I did Joberg2C. But the challenge interests me.
  14. I have stayed at Big creek previously and as Arno says, there are a couple of dirt road route options available and easily accessible, including still going up Breedts Nek. His spot is about 11km from the Hekpoort garage/bottle store site, further west along the R560 (closer to Magaliesburg). I suggested to Arno that he load some maps. He does have a nice spot for parking and then chilling afterwards.
  15. I've just had a 2008 Spex S-Works epic carbon frame + rear stays resprayed by Cliff & Lilian. the colour scheme was looking a bit dated so I decided to just do an all-red refurb. It looks great to my untrained eye. Will be going to the LBS over the w/end to be re-built. Superb service from them - picked up Sat, delivered yesterday (Thurs).

    Route69 entry

Thx - yup, problem appears to have been their website d-date and that appearing on Cyclelab. Have just contacted them so hopefully will sort it out shortly. Thx once again
  17. The Route69 MTB race says race entries close on 17 February 2011 - admittedly they don't state a time BUT they are already closedat 2.15pm!!
  18. Thx Matt, A very levelled-headed approach to matters. I have been caught by this latest scam and realise that I was lax in what I did and hence didn't try to 'jump' on you guys. We are pursuing our own legal avenues and hopefully that will yield results. The system works at the end of the day, just minor tweaks are needed. I'm a meneber of canoeing egroup fraternity and thankfully we don't have this extent of problems (because we are much, much smaller). Thx for the efforts. Best Rgds
  19. I've had a GF 29er Hi Fi Pro for a year - did Sani2c in the mud (Adventure) plus Joberg2C. Broke a chain, a back deraileur and one puncture (but sorted). Awesome bike if u have the skills to use it.
