I have been setting up my race calendar and some of these Stage races seem to be pretty high for what you get I fully understand that a lot more work goes into these than normal one day marathon events, and that some of these events are riden in spectacular riding areas that are normaly not available to us. just keep to hear what other though really

  5. Welcome to the hub and to MTBing! If you looking to join a club, I would suggest having a look at the guys from Fritz Pienar in Witkoppen Road. I checked out a few shops and was going to join a club of a certain shop in fourways after buying my bike from them, they promised the world and delivered nothing, staff find it an effort to greet on the best of days. The guys at Fritz are really friendly and helpfull, by far the most pleasant bunch in the area. There are plenty of places to ride, just get friendly with a few guys in here and you will find rides. I am going out to Teak sports on Sunday you more that welcome to join us, will show you around the green route, 10km of very easy stuff. pm if you keen and we can make arrangements

  25. I am using Shimano shoes at the moment, not sure which model, were about R1200 from cycle-lab, got the three velcro straps and two carbon peices in the sole Find them very comfy and have not had any probs with them. Must be honest, I got them as a spare pair while wating to get a pair of Sidi dragons end of the month, but am seriously thinking about just using them the shimanos now, very happy
