  1. I have just ordered this after being told about it from somebody on here Zinn & the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance
  2. one driver against 100 riders....................just seeing this dude stop would make me think he was either Jacky Chans cuzzy or that he had a slight mental dent!
  3. Maybe I am missing something here or maybe I am a sissy, but it blows my mind that even after ALL the warnings and all the incidents people continue to ride in areas known to be hot spots? I still see people riding on the outskirts of Northern farms on the the Diepsleight (What ever) dirt road? Sure they in a small group but that does not seem to help much anymore. The Spruit??WHY?? just about every person I know who used to ride the Spuit stays well away from it because of all the problems that have been going on there for months and months. We ride certain sections on sat morning with our club, but then we have over 25 riders and many more sometimes and still then keep away from certain areas. I understand that we need to stand up for a rights and all that and cant let these guys keep getting away with it, but a small group of riders with a little can of pepperspray aint going to to do anything but get people into more trouble than they know. Guys if these people have the balls to grab you off a bicycle when there are a few of you, beleive me they have the balls to stab or shoot you, pepperspray or no pepperspray. You are simply an object in the way between them making some money or not making any money. Human lives stopped meening anything to these people a long time ago, especially yours! Thats my Rant of the month! And a little bit of advice from Honda: STUPID HURTS!
  4. looks good, got some good prices
  5. I use stuff that we have been using for years to clean our Offroad bikes, cant remember the name now....i find it.....MUCH cheaper than most of your Branded cleaners. We use it as a general bike cleaner, spray on and spray off but if you dont mix with loads of water is an excellent degreaser, you find it at most MX or motorbike shops. ahh ya its called Teapoll (not sure of correct spelling)
  6. Come on, its not all mark-up. The ones that arrive in SA are from USA. Therefore the Holoscam is tuned into the USA frequencies. The South African Science Institute has to de-program and re-program the holoscam for our frequencies otherwise they would not work properly and people would be falling over all over the place. Thats where the extra charge comes in, the Science people are not cheap anymore.
  7. if I can offer some friendly advice: DONT TRY SELL THEM ON THE HUB you will create more hassle for yourself than you can ever imagen, I beleive the last poor guy who tried to sell them on here is starting to come right slowly and is expected to be released to a padded cell with other humans shortly. Do a search on the for sales section, get a nice hot cup of coffee and make sure you have 4 hours spare! PowerBalance is a swear word on The Hub. I am sure you will see shortly.
  8. yes, but you need a spongle to attach it
  9. you guys hear about the dude in Richmond who went to his witchdoctor to get help to make money? Docot tells him to take 20k, wrap it in a "plastic" and go and bury it by the Duzi River in PMB (Camps Drift area) The Gods will double it! So clever dude borrows cash from his china and does as he was told and burries the cash. Witchdoctors tells him the Gods will tell him when the money has been doubled. A few weeks go past, nothing, so clever dude goes back to doctor, who tells him he burried it in the wrong spot, he must take more money and bury in right spot.......clever dude borrows more money from another china and burries this in the "right" spot" weeks go by, no cash, witchdoctor gone, money gone...........few weeks later police get call about uprise in the location........witchdoctor found.money...not found..........witchdoctor dead when police arrived!! ahhaha could not beleive it when I read this, think it was in the Witness a year or so ago.
  10. I agree, and if space allows, could we also start a "I have no sense of homour and take life to serious" section so those of us who dont mind smiling once a year can read posts with out having to filter through pages of name calling and arguing? mark ellis2010-05-25 00:17:30
  11. I didnt think phones worked to phone out of cycle shops, I think they can only receive calls.... Cyclelab lost a LARGe sale with a riding buddy of mine when he went in on a weekend saw a bike he like, ordered his size and was told it would be about a week to arrive and he would get the MAGIC call, 5 months later no call, I even went in to ask on his behalf and was told it is coming from Cape Town it will take a few days......... Broke the lock-out on my Merida just before Sabie, goes in to be fixed and service and ask them to tell me if they can fix the lock-out switch and what a new one would cost......arrive on the Friday to pick-up bike and go, R500 for a plastic lever....SHOT FOR THE CALL
  12. Yes! The wound on my leg was on a Vein' date=' which was squirting blood everywhere. [/quote'] How is the leg doing dude? back on the bike?
  13. whats is incredible is the different experiences people get at different shops. Not wanting to bash any shops here but I brought a fairly top end bike from Cycle Lab and had the most shocking service from them after that I have never been back, yet a mate of mine will not use any other shop but them. I then started using Fritz P and have had good service by nice guys, yet another guy in our bunch has had the complete opposite experience. Guess it is just who you gel with
  14. MBX!! no way I think my bike cost me R3000 back then......my mtb shoes cost that now.......If my dad were still around he would give me a proper ear-warmer!
  15. wow, I got a Gamma 50cc for my 16th that I worked at Spur, carrying plates to pay half back for, hahaha oh how times have changed
  16. man oh man! went and saw this bike today, incredile! the neatness of it blew my mind, Scott certainly makes a very high quality product, comparing it to the other top end bikes i have been looking at and it is just a cut above the rest.
  17. good point, and why is is that the same people ask the same questions for just about every sales add?? Surley you not interested in every bike thats is for sale? have you got nothing better to do that read through sales adds and comment on every one?
  18. Has anybody put this sytem on a non-Scott bike? With the right shock and fork do you think it could be done?
