I'm fairly big oke @ 1.8m & 100kg plus.. The riders behind me would also not notice the headwind down the N7. After the N7 one oke rekkoned "Check this cross wind" 😱 🤣 I swallowed my words rather and pushed on to the finish.. 😰 😲

hahaha, it was supposed to be a fun ride.. I was away abroad and off bike for just over 2 weeks. I returned on Sunday and entered on Tuesday, then Wednesday the wind predictions came out 😅

Was a lekker race, pity about all the wind though.

Yup, and I was off the bike for a couple of weeks. So fitness was not where it needed to be 🤕

I take it you had a bad experience with Kenyan Airlines, I haven’t used them. no issues with Qatar though, what I wanted to highlight was the cost of airfare. If it was a similar price for me to travel to Jhb vs international. I would go international everytime even if it was just for a couple days.
