  1. Was offered a 3 month trial to Amazon Prime, so looking forward to new Grand Tour in January but discovered all the Seinfeld episodes so watching them from season 1 again... Still damn funny.
  2. Video not available...
  3. Apart from Martin (Cito) frontman from Wonderboom who posted that it was an incredible show, I've not seen anything. Ah, man. What a beautiful band! So much to love and learn. Too many good songs and they didn’t even play all of them. Those lyrics.
  4. This looks amazing. And no, its not live action, it is 100% CGI. The confusion, according to Twitter, comes from a US news agency confusing this with an upcoming live action remake of Aladdin, apparently and no one else has bothered to fact check. The last movie I saw in a theatre was the remake of Jungle Book. This might just get me back there.
  5. That city blew my mind... I yearn to go back. From JFK after a million hours on a plane, on a train, into the subway, walking up the stairs out into the day in Manhattan, the yellow cabs, the noise, the unique smell, the high rise buildings, I was a proper country bumpkin in the city, jaw open and wide eyed.. Will never forget it.
  6. Speaking of TV and NYC, I love the opportunity to tell this story… 2012, first time in the US, first time in NYC. In a (crappy) hotel room a handful of floors up, directly across the road from the entrance to Madison Square Gardens. Switch on the TV, and it’s the first episode of Blue Bloods with Tom Selleck. There is a scene with the police graduation ceremony, filmed at MSG. In the show the characters are standing outside the entrance talking. I’m standing next to the TV, looking out the window at the exact spot I’m seeing on the TV, minus the actors.. Was surreal and funny at the same time.
  7. His new album is, as expected, superb.
  8. So true!
  9. Entered! And FYI folks I am not fussy on colour, really. If I DID actually win a Titan that would be pretty cool as my wife has one and we would be matchings.
  10. 7 episodes in, loving this. Alan Arkin has always been one of my favourite actors. He is in one of my top 3 movies too, Glengarry Glen Ross.
  11. Proof that the bigger your testicles, the more buoyant they are.
  12. If you want to get serious brownie points throw in “You cook better than my mom did” Even better if it’s actually true!
  13. .
  14. I saw them at Woodmead but this was quite a few weeks ago already. Big display at the entrance by the flat screen tellys .
  15. Couple months ago, mate of mine is here on holiday from his contract in Europe. He wants to go ride Breedts, which we duly do. On the way, we are having a chat. His Missus wants to buy a Jimny for her dad, as his car is getting long in the tooth. He is asking me if I think it has any off road capability being so small and all. I say, from what I’ve heard it holds its own pretty well. Cut to a bit later, on the trail, about halfway up the Breedts climb, I hear a motor behind me. Granted, I’ve only done the Nek a few times, but I’ve never seen a car on the pass. Motorbikes, yes, but not cars. I look over my shoulder and see a 4x4 in the distance, thinking maybe it’s a Land Cruiser or something. It gets closer and I realise it’s a bit smaller, and, lo and behold, it’s a Jimny. He comfortably, slowly but smoothly goes past. My mate who is a bit ahead of me, turns to see this car passing him… I shout ahead ‘Any more questions?’ and he shouts back ‘nope, I’m good…’ A little later we chatted to the driver as he was stopped at the lookout point on the summit with his family. Standard Jimny, standard factory tires. Says he has done the Breedts Pass many times… I was well impressed.
  16. Zakly. If I'd gone to the Benoni Library in my undies the librarian would have looked at me funny. Here no one seems to mind.
  17. I think everyone missed my follow up post... I was at Yamaha to ogle audio equipment, not motorbikes.
  18. I hope you know I was joking right? I'd be 0 - DEAD in about 2.5 seconds on that thing. Crikey.
  19. As mentioned previously I’m not very knowledgeable on motorbikes. Had coffee with a mate at the Yamaha building and spotted this. What do you guys think? Would this make a decent daily commuter? Not too much for a newbie to handle?
  20. In the late Nineties I was a sales rep, my company car was a Sentra 160GXi. I did 10000km a month in that car as my area was Western Cape, Botswana and Namibia. I drove that car up and down, and being young and stupid, often sat on the long straight roads out near Upington and in Namibia with the needle maxed. That car never gave me one single issue.
  21. So I finished Making A Murderer Season 2 last night… It’s like watching a really bad car accident in slow motion and you just can’t look away.
  22. Oh, I geddit... She is just gorgeous. Paul Simon is one lucky dude...
