  1. Smeg recently bought La Pavoni, those levers are awesome, I have owned and sold quite a few of them over the years. I currently own their rarer cousin, the Eurobar. There is one currently on marketplace in Cape Town for about R6k ish, but its missing some bits. Buying new at R12k is ok. Parts and spares are ok, quite easy to get locally. Guys like coffee sensor etc online keep everything for them.
  2. You have to remove the main cover, but once it's off everything is right there. Probably just the tap seals in there binding up.
  3. Looks great! If you need any spares for your Oscar let me know, I have a stripped one sitting in my garage... Boiler got destroyed! I have a spare portafilter for it too if you want to cut the bottom off etc...
  4. The best! Join the group in FB, lots of good info! Love my pavoni!
  5. Gaggia Classic Pro DF 64 Grinder... Solid setup

  8. Old as F! Zero ****, only self inflicted.
  9. The most effective way is a wall mounted tow ball, there was a crowd here doing them but cant find them anymore! Basically mount a towball to the wall and hang it up!
  10. So our shots are 20g doubles, essentially 10g each then. We pull the double, then pull a split double!
  11. I do get asked for triple shots in the shop... All our shots are double anyway
  12. Ive never done it but im sure I could figure it out!
  13. Im happy to try roasting some for you...
  14. This looks great Nico!
  15. I really enjoyed that episode!
  16. Sorry for the delay, not on here as much as I used to be Im a bit of an espresso based person, so always through some kind of espresso machine. This has been excellent as a "smaller" cortado through my La Pavoni but also still really enjoyable on the commercial machine at the shop. A big factor in these ultra specialty coffees is grinder (the same for any coffee really), I can taste the difference even between the Mahlkonig and the Anfim I have in the shop. I see a similar pattern with the Sao Jaoa Brazil Carbonic I have been roasting.
  17. Talking of special coffee, I was fortunate enough to be gifted some of this... Incredible to say the least!
  18. House blends are mostly made in that way, so that anyone can enjoy them. With or without milk, tall, short etc.... roasted for smooth and easy drinking!
  19. Pretty easy to swap to the 9 bar spring. Seems to be the first mod everyone does
  20. I have only heard good things about their coffee (Espresso Mafia!) How does it taste?
  21. Sorry I have been off the Hub for a while, I am selling an older Rossi espresso grinder... You are welcome to PM me
  22. For sure you can! Tell us more
  23. I was talking about the La Spaziale. The kees is on a another level but still essentially a la Marzocco underneath. A Wega is a far superior machine to a la spaziale.
  24. Show that watch [emoji52]
  25. Strange choice. Not very well supported here. I personally would have gone for a Wega
